it was skor icecream and it was goood. just helped myself to a little bit more. i had lots of energy last night. it was brimming over. i was trying to figure out how to do the elvira line dance that we learned in junior high square dancing component of pe. couldn't remember lots of the steps so i just ended up bouncing around a lot. sarita sent me on a walk with elicia. she gave me some almonds to crush up and give to the birds at queen elizabeth park. i said "i'm not going to crush up almonds for the birds! they can feed themselves." but i took a handful and ate it. as we were going out the door i said to elicia " i don't want to go to the park." "neither do i." she said. agreed. so i told elicia that she could decide when to turn and then i would decide, and that would decide where we went. so we walked long and far. we ended up walking around the golf course at langara. i like that trail. you can smell that fresh woodsy smell. we met a kid dying to tell us about his dog. elicia and i both noticed him watching us advance towards him. as soon as we were there his dog came up to us and he started bluting out facts about him. 3rd generation sled dog, only 4 months old, yadda yadda. it was a really pretty dog. not the usual type of colouring you think of when you think sled dog. it was golden. and doe eyed. later the path had the gold course on one side and a school on the other. elicia and i stopped for a good swing. i love swinging. i wore my new squishy bouncy water shoes. they are so light to walk in, have a great grip and they bounce you along. on a scale of one to ten i enjoyed them about an eight. (i did get a rock in them once, my feet got dirty, and my baby toes rubbed a little bit by the end). the sun had just set when we got home.

sarita and heather were watching a documentary called corporation. it was very interesting, but i had to leave and get barb from the airport. barb and i had some good chats on the way to her house. sounds like she had a good time in cali. she bought karey some mood rings (toe and finger) for her birthday. when i had dropped babsi off on her dark dark road, i turned around and was just driving away, when a figure ran at me from the house shouting "lauuuuuura! wait!!" it was nikki and she scared me. she ran back into the house and soon returned coughing phlemily. she handed me a package of salt water taffy from disney land for our house. what a nice girl.

today was the first day of my 4 day busy busy busy week without lisa. i survived such misshaps as dumping the thawed soup from the bucket into a pot and having it splash all over me. i could even feel droplets landing on my part on the top of my head. what can you do?

linda gets home from korea on saturday. she's sarita's sister and she'll be staying with us for a month and a half. she'll stay in sarita's room and sarita will stay with heather. that meant that sarita had to clean out her little hovel yesterday.

maybe i'll work on my taxes. or maybe i'll read. or maybe i'll nap.
