"And on this day thou shalt do none other thing, only let thy food be prepared with singleness of heart that thy fasting may be perfect, or, in other words, that thy joy may be full.

i like how fasting is described in terms of joy and rejoicing. i've had a good fast sunday today and i feel grateful for the power of the fast to bring me closer to the arms of my Father. it's true. i call and he answers. he brings me out of the darkness and makes fat my soul. it was a healing in his wings type of day for me.
