i've just started reading dead man walking. so far i like the style. i think i'm gonna like.

don't really feel like writing, but i'm doing it anyways, because i feel stale right now, and maybe wrting will take some of the stale bread feeling away.

yesterday was not stale. yesterday was a good day all around. when i got to work in the morning lisa said to me that i was not shopping that day. "just because you are the best at it, does not mean you should have to be the only one to do it all the time." so now we are rotating. i actually don't mind doing the shopping because i have it down to a science, but a break once in a while is nice too because it's a lot of work. so mike had to do the superstore run on his first day back. welcome home mike. he probably thought i was complaining and that's why he had to do it, but i wasn't. not i, said the little red hen. mondays are my best days at work, as i am apt to say often. it's true though. energy level = high on monday, low on friday.

then it just so happened that the timing and build up was just right. so i washed my car. and my car was so happy. i was happy too. washing the car is actually an enjoyable thing to do, and i took my time and enjoyed the enjoyable. while i was doing that karey mowed the lawn. and then we both came inside and she snoozed and i wrote about fatima's birthday party. just as i was finishing randy and scott got here and i hurried up to change into my bathing suit because me and karey and heather and randy and scott were to going to the beach for fhe.

we all squished into karey's car which was a good opportunity to grab heather's butt as we put our seatbelts on. we stopped at mcdonald's for karey and i on the way there. we each got a two cheeseburger meal, because that is what we like. back on route to the beach, it had been over a year since we had been to spanish banks because last yeat we didn't go at all because it was karey's break up summer and she never wanted to do anything. so the point is, we parked too soon and we ended up at the dog beach. the dog beach is the one we went to once with john and the kids. it's rocky. and the water is not clear at spanish banks. that means while you're walking out, you walk smack dab, unexpectedly into big sharp barnacly rocks. this led to me going under much before the traditonal water level. randy went in early too because he had his purple tube around his waist. his purple tube is his pride and joy. he got it in vegas while staying at mandalay bay (big water park there). it was soo aparent that the tide was very strong. it kept pulling us eastward. eastward was where the good sandy beach was, so i had this brilliant idea. i talked karey and randy into letting the current, which was so strong that you couldn't stand in one place if the water was too deep, take us to the sandy beach. heather and scott weren't swimming so we called for them to take our stuff and drive over to the sandy beach. at first they just waved to us like they thought we were just waving to them. then they understood. "are you serious?" heather called back. later she told us that she said to scott like it sounded like one of my ideas. sure was. it was a fun venture for me, but for karey and randy it was too long. all the better to keep them in the water longer i said. in the end, heather and scott made it to the sandy beach, but went to the closest spot to us, which was still rocky when you're getting out. so there wasn't much point. except the point of adventure. just as we were nearing the sandy beach a life guard called out to randy that there were no flotation deviced allowed. i was a little bugged by this. a.)what's the big deal? b.) it's the open ocean and they aren't in charge of it. c.) nobody else was swimming d.) it's a public place, not some private pool. e.) what would he do if randy insisted on using the flotation device? (not that he would, he'd be very obedient, but i felt like fighting about it.) we were coming in anyways, but boy oh boy...

we talked awhile on the beach. karey and i were sitting on a long and it wasn't one of those comfy logs. it was not smooth. and there was sand on it. all this adds up to an uncomfy bum for laura. scott had been sitting in randy's chair and got up when randy came back. he had also been eating some chocolate chip cookies and one of the chocolate chips was melted onto his bum. it looked like poo of course.

randy and scott came in to talk for a while, but scott soon left. randy said he would leave soon but didn't. we talked about our works for quite a while and about dentists and other things. it reminded me of other times.
