i finally got my scriptures back the other day. today i opened up my ponder book, which had been tucked safely in the side pocket of the carrying case, and this is what it said

"2Nephi 14:5-6

An the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for upon all the glory of Zion shall be a defence.
And there shall be a tabernacle of a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and a covert from storm and from rain.

I wanted to study this scripture because I love to remind myself of the theme of refuge and defence. That in God is our greatest refuge and our greatest defence. Smoke by day and fire by night--Heavenly Father is a loyal, true and faithful ever present watch and protection. He is someone you can trust."

good point laura, that is something worth reminding yourself.

i've been having a little case of the blues today. it could be the ring of fire/volcanoes of my flesh, or it could be as karey suggested "i think you're getting your period" (i don't think so...) or it could be that i woke up early this morning and read a book titled He's just not that into you. sigh.
