because of steve

i looked up William Carlos Williams' poem and here it is:

This Is Just to Say
by William Carlos Williams

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

it reminds me of the box of chocolates i got sent on my mission in a care package from the ward. they were sister may chocolates and one chocolate was missing. in its place was a little piece of paper folded up small. i opened it and it was from bishop bowden. he asked me to forgive him because he ate it. it made me smile and probalby smile.

then i was looking around and found this poem. i like it. it has some relevance to me right now.

Way of the Water-Hyacinth

by Zawgee

Bobbing on the breeze blown waves
Bowing to the tide
Hyacinth rises and falls

Falling but not felled
By flotsam, twigs, leaves
She ducks, bobs and weaves.

Ducks, ducks by the score
Jolting, quacking and more
She spins through--

Spinning, swamped, slimed, sunk
She rises, resolute
Still crowned by petals
