it was friday night. laura was tired. her uterus had a slow ache and she discovered that she was crabby when she snapped at her roomies. the issue was two fold: number one, what were they going to do that night and number two get laura off the computer. she was very cooperative with the first issue, putting forth many an idea while all others sat in a stupor, but was quite stubbornly resistant with the second issue. you know what katrina says, the three r's. resistance, something else that starts with an r, and resentment. it was getting to that point with laura. finally they decided to go downtown and eat and look around. karey wanted to eat at shabusen, but laura didn't. in fact laura would have rather that they took their journey to metrotown shopping where it was warm and maybe a movie. besides, she had just been on robson and to shabusen. this contributed to her grumpiness, but the plain truth was she was just plain ornery.
it was in the bathroom when sarah was fixing laura's hair and they began to sing "uh-HUH i wanna wander, uh-HU a little longer..." with gusto on each uh-HUH, that she began to cheer up a little bit. luckily shabusen cost 20.95 for supper, so they ate at red robbins. their waiter was named sara and she wasn't the best waiter ever. she told them the specials were on a smaller menu that they weren't given and did not proceed to give them one or to describe them. then she gave elicia the wrong burger. elicia is notorious for not getting good things to eat and when she finally got hers, she didn't really like it. sarah and laura shared their chicken burgers, but sarah ate the most because she's the piggy sort. later they all congregated in the red robbins bathroom and all experienced the horror of the stall with the toilet full to the brim with brown water and some logs.
