yesterday i bought two books at our 'ten minute' stop at chapters. i really do have an excess of books to read, but what can one do? one can buy more books, that's what one can do. one is on florence nightingale and her family. looks good. *head tilt forward, eybrows raised* the other one is a collection of letters written by canadians throughout history. it has letters by lucy maud and norm bethune and luis riel's sister etc. so it's kind of like history seen through personal letters. also good. steve said i was patriotic for getting it. maybe so.
yesterday at the post office these people, (don't recall if i ever figured out if it was a guy and a girl or two guys) were sending a package to taiwan. it cost five hundred and sixty dollars. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. mine cost seven something and it will get to dad in one or two business days. smug.
yesterday we ate at sammy j's (no fatima, not my favourite) we didn't consult before ordering and ordered the same thing. chicken fajitas. i was clearly copied since i closed my menu first and was therefore clearly first to decide. our server left us with our own water jug. it was one of those glass vase shaped jugs. no spout. the kind that the water annoyingly dribbled down the side of the jug instead of pouring aimiably (yes aimiably as in having qualities of famous amos) into my waiting glass. this brought us to a debate in which steve proved me wrong in easily pouring water into his waiting cup when the jug was refilled to the same level, pointing out as he did so, quite triumphantly i must add, that it didn't have anything to do with his talents or extraodinary giftedness, no, all regular normal every day people can do it. but not me. i have a handicap. but no fear with extra hard work, determination and dilligence... wait. franklin says it's diligence not dilligence....and diligence, i can overcome this weakness and perhaps live like other people do. hope springs eternal.
today is pancake breakfast.
today is chicken cacciatore. not that i've made it before, but whatever, i looked it up on the internet.
