the dream i woke up with: i was moving to toronto and somebody else had found me a place to stay. as i walked to the address of my new house, i knew i was going to like the neighbourhood. my road was all nice old houses facing a park and the sidewalk was made of slatted boards (i don't know why that was relavent, but i liked it). when the road turned into a cul de sac, i saw my new house nestled between two other nice houses and some trees. but my new house was weird. it wasn't like a real house it was all metal and had ramps coming off of every floor. (and there were many floors) i went inside and found lots of people, guys and girls, that lived there. i thought "uh oh. mom and dad aren't going to like this." but then i thought it might be individual apartments on each floor. i saw sarita and she wasn't happy with the place. i kept trying to find my room, going from floor to floor walking down these slippery wooden (they changed from metal to wood) outside ramps. sometimes i had to slide on my bum. the bathrooms were like the bathrooms on the houseboat. on one floor i met a guy who lived there with his dad. he said i took the room that he wanted and that it was just below him. i was almost there, and then i realized that each floor was like an intermural team, and then i woke up without ever finding my room, with my read suitcases in it.

Ps.119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." it's the scripture i like today. thanks to amy grant, you can sing it.

mary and amy came over last night to visit teach us. they came right at the beginning of a funny everybody loves raymond that we hadn't seen yet. it was the one when robert gets married. but we dutifully turned it off. it wasn't easy, but we did it. mary gave us a message from the sept 1999 ensign because her sister gave her all her old ensigns and she doesn't get the current issues. in other words, not a subscriber. very resourseful of her. she delivered the message by having us read it. i read karey's for her. and she commented a couple of times or elicia or karey would. i didn't feel like commenting. i was very tired and felt like sleeping, but i didn't. amy told us a joke about a turtle a snail and a maggot. we mostly laughed because she was so cute telling it. then she said bashfully that we were supposed to laugh really hard, which made everyone laugh again.
